Operating with a flame-less combustion which takes place in a three-dimensional reticulated medium with superior thermal properties, porous ceramic burner is characterized by higher burning rates, increased flame stability with low noise emissions, and controllable, homogeneous combustion-zone temperatures which lead to a reduction in NOx and CO emissions.
